Water is connection. Water is action. On March 10, the Ohio Water Partnership brought that message to Cleveland.
OWP and two of our members — Advanced Drainage Systems and Bath & Body Works — joined sustainability leaders at the Greater Cleveland Partnership Corporate Sustainability Summit, held at the Huntington Convention Center. The gathering brought together business, nonprofit, and government leaders from across Ohio to advance forward-looking conversations on corporate sustainability, water stewardship, and regional collaboration.

Water is Connection: Introducing Regional Water Partnerships
OWP Executive Director Jim Samuel moderated a panel discussion titled Introduction to Regional Water Partnerships, exploring how cross-sector coalitions are driving real progress on Ohio’s most pressing water challenges. Water is connection — between industries, between communities, and between the decisions we make today and the infrastructure we rely on tomorrow.
Joining the conversation were Jeff King, Vice President & Head of ESG at Bath & Body Works; Brian King, EVP of Marketing, Product Management and Sustainability at Advanced Drainage Systems; and Marie Fechik-Kirk, Manager of Sustainability and Special Projects at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. Together, the panel illustrated how Ohio’s business community is stepping up as a leader in regional water partnership building.
Water is Action: Why Business Engagement Matters
Water is not just an environmental issue — it is an economic one. The Ohio Water Partnership was founded on the belief that water is connection and water is action: that meaningful progress happens when business leaders, utilities, policymakers, and conservation advocates work together at the same table. Events like the Greater Cleveland Partnership Corporate Sustainability Summit are exactly where that work happens.
We’re also proud to recognize event partner The George Gund Foundation, whose continued support elevates thoughtful, forward-looking sustainability conversations across Ohio.
