On May 7, the Ohio Water Partnership (OWP) took part in the annual Ohio CEO Summit, hosted by the Ohio Business Roundtable at the headquarters of Bath & Body Works, Inc. The summit, founded on the belief that free enterprise fuels innovation and economic advancement, convenes top executives to discuss critical challenges and opportunities shaping Ohio’s business landscape.
This year’s theme “Power, Water, and People” highlighted the essential resources that determine whether Ohio seizes future opportunities or falls short amid rapid economic development.
Water was a central focus of the summit, with Jeff King, Vice President and Head of ESG at Bath & Body Works, representing OWP during a session titled “Innovating Together: Solutions for Ohio’s Water Future.” In his remarks, King underscored the vital connection between clean, reliable water and Ohio’s long-term prosperity. The panel explored collaborative efforts across sectors to safeguard water resources, including research initiatives, policy solutions, and programs like H2Ohio.
The panel featured Rodney Rogers, President of Bowling Green State University, and Brian Baldridge, Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, who discussed how public-private partnerships and innovative thinking are shaping Ohio’s water future.
